Personal Counseling Cell

Adjustment difficulties of college students have been an emerging issue. Numerous studies have proven that adjustment difficulties such as appetite disturbances, concentration problems, and depression are most pronounced in newcomers. To help college students resolve their adjustment issues, we attempted, for the present study, in the form of establishing a counseling system to provide interventions to students so that their social and emotional problems could affect their academic performance. Don’t interfere.

Counseling is an activity that uses interpersonal relationships to enable people to develop self-understanding and make changes in their lives. We chose to examine the relationship between college counseling experience and academic performance in a sample of freshmen. Freshmen are more likely to experience loneliness, low self-esteem, and higher frequencies of life expectancy than their superiors.

Purpose
To explore the relationship between academic performance and mentorship.
To explore the relationship between the number of sessions and academic performance.

In practicality, it is seen that the behavior of some people is such that some problems often arise in front of them and their reaction to the solution to that problem is such that they need to solve the problem the most. The first requirement is the lack of insight of the individual. Therefore, the main goal of a counselor in counseling is to develop insight into the counselor. The problem is not solved, but the complexity of their problem/problems goes on increasing. The main reason for this happening is the lack of insight in that person or counselor. Therefore, the special goal of counseling in counseling is that there is an insight into the counselor. The development of insight and self-realization is a continuous process that is related to all the processes like counseling, development, and psychotherapy. The development of insight helps to counsel to analyze the causes of their problems, behavior change, treatment, and problem-solving.

Goals / Aim of Counseling

Under the goal of counseling, counselors, counselors, and intermediate classes are included. The counseling process is goal oriented. The goals of counseling are very broad. Some of these goals are mainly related to contemporary life. Whereas some other goals are concerned with the ability of the person to solve possible problems in the future.

Counseling goals-

In the context of counseling goal setting, mainly three things are worth noting, which are as follows-

It is not always appropriate to focus on the means by ignoring the ends. Psychologists have developed many tests and techniques to determine the needs and problems of a person for counseling. It is inappropriate to give more importance to the means or the end of counseling.

A behavioral improvement oriented – The result of the activation of psychomotor can be seen as changes in the person’s behavior when problems arise in the person’s normal behavior in addition to the mental disorders. It is a kind of practical improvement i.e. symptom alleviation. Counseling should be practical in situations like symptoms related to psychosomatic disorders, functional/functional difficulties in normal tasks, and irritability.

Development Goals – Developmental goals are those in which the client is helped to achieve anticipated human growth and development (e.g., social, personal, emotional, cognitive, physical, etc.).

Preventive Goals – A preventive goal is one in which the counselor helps the counselor avoid unwanted consequences.

Enhancement Goals – If the counselor has specific skills and abilities, they can be identified and developed with the help of the counselor.

Remedial Goals – Treatment means treating the unwanted development of the counselor.

Exploratory Goals – Exploratory Goals represent goals that test appropriate alternatives and skills and examine new different activities, environments, and relationships, etc.

Exploratory Goals – Exploratory Goals represent goals that test appropriate alternatives and skills and examine new activities, efficient environments, relationships, etc.

Reinforcement Goals – Reinforcement is used when the counselor needs help to recognize that what they are doing, thinking, and experiencing is correct.

Cognitive Goals- Cognition involves achieving the primary basis of learning skills.

Physiological Goals- Physiology involves acquiring a primary understanding and habits to maintain good health.

Psychological Aims – Psychology helps develop social interaction skills, learning, emotional control, positive, etc.
