Mental Health Awareness
The program for raising awareness about mental health was organized by Seth G.B. Podar College’s IQAC and NCC Unit. The main guest for the program was the renowned psychologist and mental health advocate, Ms. Vedica Podar. At the beginning of the program, the IQAC Coordinator and Vice-Principal, Dr. Vinod Kumar Saini, welcomed the chief speaker, Ms. Vedica Podar, and provided detailed information about the initiatives being undertaken by her for mental health awareness. Ms. Vedica Podar, the main speaker, delivered an extensive lecture on mental health for college students, addressing the concerns of students regarding mental health. She emphasized that worry, stress, substance abuse, and unwanted thoughts are the biggest obstacles to improving mental health. To stay away from stress, she recommended activities such as dancing, traveling, spending time with friends, maintaining a healthy diet, and ensuring adequate sleep, all of which contribute to better mental health. Ms. Vedica Podar also stated that by finding ways to celebrate generosity and maintaining personal happiness, mental health can be enhanced. Prof. Chetan Dadhich expressed gratitude to Ms. Vedica Podar and all the attendees. NCC A.N.O Lieutenant Kamlesh Kumar thanked all for the guidance given to NCC candidates.
