Alumni Meet 2026
A one-day Alumni Meet was organized with great grandeur last Sunday at Seth G.B. Podar College, run by The Anandilal Podar Trust. The event witnessed the presence of former students from various decades, bringing the campus alive with enthusiasm and a strong sense of belonging.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati at the college’s Dr. Ramnath A. Podar Auditorium. The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Vedica Podar, and it was presided over by Mr. Ravindra Purohit.
Addressing the alumni, Trustee Dr. Vedica Podar said, “Our alumni are the greatest capital of Podar College and the living proof of our success. Today, our students have made their mark not only in India but also on the global stage.” She appreciated the cooperation and guidance extended by the alumni to current students.
Principal Dr. Satyendra Singh, in his welcome address, stated that Podar College students have excelled in every field, including economics, administrative services, education, medicine, the armed forces, and politics.
Prof. M.C. Malu, Secretary of the Trust, remarked that the Alumni Meet is a reflection of the institution’s enduring values and strong academic foundation. He emphasized that the continued engagement of alumni plays a crucial role in strengthening the institution and inspiring present students to achieve excellence.
Dr. Vinod Kumar Saini, while presenting the annual report, said, “The objective of the Alumni Meet is to reconnect with the institution, relive cherished memories, meet old friends, and provide career guidance to current students.”
During the Alumni Meet, more than 170 distinguished alumni were honored with garlands and mementos.

During the program, former students Mansi, Sandhya, and Komal presented captivating cultural performances. Mr. Harish Hindustani, Joint Secretary of the Alumni Association, enthralled the audience with his humorous poetry. The stage was skillfully anchored by Prof. Shantilal Joshi.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a grand dinner. On this occasion, Rajiv K. Podar, Honorable Chairman of Podar Trust, and M.D. Shanbhag expressed their delight over the successful organization of the Alumni Meet and reiterated their resolve to make it even more extensive in the future.
